Our annual Dance Masterclass Series returns in December this year! Led by SBA Principal, SBA Faculty members and other distinguished dance instructors, the 5-day workshop aims to elevate participants’ artistry in dance through a series of classes in different genres. You will learn the finer points of ballet, contemporary and jazz, as well as body conditioning classes that aim to introduce core strength training to help participants achieve their personal best in dance.

In line with Singapore Dance Theatre’s 2018 Season finale Sleeping Beauty, the ballet repertoire segment of this year’s workshop will feature the Sleeping Beauty ballet. Over 5 days of classes, participants get to learn pieces that are specially choreographed to the music of this majestic and enchanting classical work. The workshop culminates in a studio showing at Singapore Dance Theatre on the fifth day, where participants get to present what they have learnt to family and friends. To celebrate the end of the workshop, participants will go on a performance excursion to Esplanade Theatre to watch SDT’s production of Sleeping Beauty!
