Wen Yee is both a graduate of the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (Diploma in Dance, Dance Education and Pedagogy). During her studies at NAFA, she performed at the Guangzhou International Dance and Arts Festival and several local productions like The Third Space Series and the Esplanade Dans Festival. She has completed all levels of the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Syllabus up to the Advanced 2 Vocational Level. She has a certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies and is a registered RAD teacher.
She is exposed to a variety of ballet performances and has danced in several productions organised by the SDT, most notably The Nutcracker and Cinderella.
Wen Yee was awarded the CSTD Summer School Scholarship, the T.H.E Contact Dance Festival Scholarship and the Ngee Ann Kongsi Scholarship for Diploma Studies in 2010 – all of which enabled her to pursue her studies in dance. She is also part of the Moving Arts Scholars Programme, was the Dance Captain for the National University of Singapore’s Dance Ensemble and a performing member with T.H.E Second Company and Frontier Danceland.
Wen Yee is deeply committed to delivering a holistic dance education for all her students, support and nurture confident young learners who will strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives, and who are disciplined and motivated to succeed.
